About Us
Welcome to Dinkers Indoor Pickleball, Hillsboro’s premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts of all levels!
Born from a passion for the sport and a commitment to community, Dinkers was founded by Frank Malinoski and Peter Nickologianis with one goal in mind—creating a welcoming, year-round space where players can connect, compete, and improve their skills. Recognizing the need for an affordable and accessible indoor facility, they set out to build a place where the love of pickleball thrives regardless of the season.
At Dinkers, we offer four professional-style indoor courts, providing the perfect environment for casual games, competitive play, and skill-building sessions. But we’re more than just a pickleball facility—we’re a community. Whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up a paddle for the first time, you’ll find a supportive and energetic atmosphere where players encourage one another and enjoy the camaraderie that makes pickleball special.
Through our partnership with Angus Lea Golf Course, we also offer two cutting-edge golf simulators, giving players the chance to refine their golf game, even in the off-season. With over 750 active members across New Hampshire, we’re growing fast—and we’d love for you to join us!
Come see why pickleball fever is sweeping the nation and experience the excitement for yourself. At Dinkers, the game never stops, and the community always welcomes you.
See you on the courts! 🏓
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a fast-paced paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. Played on a small court with a low net, it features specialized paddles and a perforated plastic ball, creating a unique and engaging gameplay experience. Whether played in singles or doubles, the game revolves around quick reflexes, strategic shots, and friendly competition.
Key Features:
Hybrid Sport: A dynamic mix of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong makes pickleball accessible and fun for all.
Compact Court: The playing area is roughly the size of a badminton court, allowing for faster-paced action in a smaller space.
Equipment: Players use flat paddles and a lightweight plastic ball designed for controlled movement and balanced play.
Gameplay: Rally-based action keeps players on their toes, with points earned by the serving team.
Non-Volley Zone: A designated area near the net, known as "the kitchen," prevents direct volleys and adds strategic depth to the game.
Why It's Popular:
Pickleball has gained widespread appeal thanks to its easy-to-learn rules, welcoming community, and suitability for players of all ages and skill levels. The social aspect, particularly in doubles play, fosters strong connections among participants. Its rapid growth has made it one of the most recognized and played sports across the country.
A Brief History:
Pickleball was created in the mid-1960s as a fun, backyard activity and quickly evolved into a competitive sport with official courts and tournaments. Over time, its popularity soared, and today it is played in gyms, clubs, and dedicated facilities nationwide.
With its perfect blend of strategy, accessibility, and social engagement, pickleball continues to be a favorite for seasoned athletes and newcomers alike!
